A reusable prompt is simply a request you save and use again. You keep the job the same and replace the details. Think of it as a form with a few boxes to fill in.
We’ll write a café’s weekly-special caption. First it’s a cinnamon latte. Next week it’s a blueberry muffin. Same task, new facts.

1. Pick one job you do often
Our job is: write a short Instagram caption about this week’s café special. A useful result tells people what it is, what it costs, when they can buy it and where to go. The café in this example is fictional.
2. Save the blank request
The words in square brackets are spaces for your information. Replace them before sending the request to your AI tool.
Write a friendly 30–50 word Instagram caption for our café.
Special: [NAME]
Price: [PRICE]
Available: [DAYS]
One true detail: [DETAIL]
Location: [CAFÉ NAME AND ADDRESS]
End with: [WHAT READERS SHOULD DO]
Use only these facts. Do not add discounts, health claims or hashtags.
If an essential field is missing, ask me before writing the caption.
3. Fill it in for this week
Write a friendly 30–50 word Instagram caption for our café.
Special: Cinnamon latte
Price: £3.50
Available: Friday to Sunday
One true detail: Made with cinnamon and oat milk
Location: Sunny Café, 8 Market Street
End with: Pop in and try one
Use only these facts. Do not add discounts, health claims or hashtags.
If an essential field is missing, ask me before writing the caption.
A complete sample caption:
Cinnamon latte is this week’s special at Sunny Café, 8 Market Street. It’s £3.50 and available Friday to Sunday. Made with cinnamon and oat milk, it’s ready for your weekend coffee stop. Pop in and try one.
Check the price, days, ingredients and address against your own information. The tool should not add a discount just because discounts sound cheerful.
4. Reuse it next week
Start with the saved blank copy. Change the special to blueberry muffin, the price to £2.80 each, the days to Monday to Wednesday and the detail to baked each morning.
Blueberry muffins are this week’s special at Sunny Café, 8 Market Street. They’re £2.80 each and available Monday to Wednesday. Baked each morning, they’re an easy addition to your coffee break. Pop in and try one.
The second caption must not mention cinnamon, oat milk, £3.50 or Friday. Those were last week’s facts.
5. Keep the version that is easy to use
Save the blank prompt in a note called “Weekly café caption”. Keep the two examples beside it if they help. When a fact is missing, fill it in or ask the tool to wait. Don’t let a blank price turn into a surprisingly generous freebie.
Try it yourself
Choose another recurring job: a club reminder, a product description or a polite reply. Write one sentence describing the job, then list the details that change each time. Use it twice with different facts and compare the answers.
These captions are prepared examples of the intended result. A different AI tool may word them differently; the facts should still match.
